Vallejo Recycling Center

There are several recycling centers in Vallejo, depending on whether you are looking for CRV buyback, hazardous waste disposal, or general scrap metal.

1. VALCORE Recycling (Best for CRV & Donations)

This is Vallejo’s only non-profit recycling center.2 They are well-regarded for being friendly and organized.

• Hours: Mon–Fri: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Gates close at 10:50 AM and 2:50 PM)

• Lunch Closure: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM daily

• Services: CRV buyback (bottles/cans), paper shredding (3rd Saturday of the month), and various donations.

2. Recology Vallejo (Hazardous Waste & Bulky Items)

Use this facility for items like batteries, oil, paint, and large appliances.

• Location: 2021 Broadway, Vallejo, CA 94589

• Hours: * BOPA (Batteries, Oil, Paint, Antifreeze): Thurs–Sat, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM

  • Customer Service: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Services: E-waste, mattresses, bulky items (fees may apply), and free drop-off for specific hazardous materials.

3. ALCO Metals (Scrap Metal & Large Scale)

Best for large quantities of metal, scrap vehicles, and industrial recycling.

• Hours: * Mon–Fri: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Scale closes 12:00–12:30 PM and at 4:00 PM)

  • Sat: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Scale closes at 11:30 AM)
